Sodium Alginate-Food Additive
Applcation of food additive sodium alginate GB 1886.243-2016 Stability: Sodium alginate is used as a stabilzer for cold drinks instead of starch and gelatin, which can control the formation of ice products, improve the taste of cold drinks, and stabilize mixed drinks such as sugar water ice cream and milk.
Alginic Acid
Alginic acid is a natural polysaccharide extracted from kelp, which is a mixture of the following two uronicacids. The product is a light yellow powder, odorless and almost odorless, insoluble in water, methanol, ethanol, acetone, chloroform, and soluble in alkaline solutions.
Industrial Grade Sodium Alginate
Sodium alginate is a high viscosity polymer compound and a typical hydrophilic sol. As the best pulp for modern printing and dyeing industry, it has been widely used in printing various textiles such as cotton, wool, silk, nylon, etc.
Fucoidan, also known as fucoidan gum or fucoidan sulfate, is a unique marine active polysaccharide found in marine plants such as kelp. It is one of the few sulfate ion type natural polysaccharides in nature.
Iodine appears as gray-black or bluish-black, metallic-shining crystalline flakes or lumps. It readily sublimes into a pungent, violet-colored vapor that is both toxic and corrosive. Iodine dissolves easily in organic solvents such as ether and ethanol, forming a deep purple solution, while its solubility in water is very limited.
